Who is Mr. Morton?

Hello! My name is Tyree Morton. I am the man behind Morton’s Monologue. I am a soon-to-be college graduate and an aspiring writer. I am a big fan of cultivation and LitRPGs. There are other genres that interest me, like mystery and suspense, but the former are the genres I am focused on.

What is Morton’s Monologue?

This blog is where I go to lock away all my inner thoughts. Whether those thoughts are about books, video games, movies, shows, or the communities surrounding them. I might even post a couple story ideas/the beginning for a couple stories I want to create. Overall, I wanted a place to put all my opinionated information out there. 

When was this created?

This blog was created in Sept. 2026 for a Project and Portfolio Final Project. Although, the idea for the blog came about a year before. I had wanted to start documenting my reviews of books and games for my brother who wanted some recommendations. That unfortunately fell through, but now I have the excuse I needed to start this up.

Where will this end up?

My goal for this blog is to simply share my opinions. I have no plan of worldwide fame nor success. I honestly will probably post here infrequently for a couple months before forgetting about it. If this blog is still active a year from now it would be a miracle.

Why was this created?

As mentioned above I created this blog for a class project. I hope to keep it active long enough to share the majority of my book reviews. Outside of that, I might upload a couple game reviews or my thoughts on video game communities and such.
